The focus of Leesi's current installative exhibition lies in pattern design as a separate field of art. The artist's source of inspiration is the traditional herringbone cloth and its design principle. The classic herringbone cloth has a broken twill weave pattern resembling the skeleton of a herring fish, the fabric is usually wool and is one of the most popular cloths used for suits and outerwear.

The herringbone version exhibited at Leesi's present exposition is a photorealistic fabric where the zigzag pattern creating the optical effect is made directly out of images of herrings (Clupea harengus). Similarly to the herring's congregation in large schools the herringbone pattern resembles the fish's artistic swimming and extends to suits, coats and several other clothing items and various textile materials as well as accessories.
