HERRINGBONE/WATER-ESSENCE OF LIFE WTA CONTEMPORARY TEXTILE ART BIENNIAL SUSTAINABLE CITY, LARGE FORMAT INDOOR MARDID, SPAIN 17.09-03.11.2019 |

The work is inspired by the name of the fabric type. Herringbone-patterned fabric is usually woollen, and is used for suits and outerwear. In my case, the Herringbone is a photorealistic fabric where the zigzag pattern creating the optical effect is made out of images of herrings and is used for a swimsuit. This work attempts to point out that clean water is vital for both fish and humans. And that the unreasonable actions by people ultimately affect themselves. |
